Bay Area Breast Cancer Forum

Moderated by Hope Rugo, MD, the Bay Area Breast Cancer Forum is a gathering of health care providers, researchers, patients, patient advocates, friends, families and caregivers. This forum will focus on new developments in breast cancer research, and an update from the San Antonio 2012 international breast cancer conference. Light dinner and discussion.

Integrative Cancer Care

Tuesday, January 15, 5:30 - 7 pm

Increasingly, people with cancer are looking for complementary methods of treatment to help boost the efficacy of conventional therapies. In this seminar, you will learn about the complementary therapies which may be useful while receiving conventional chemo, radiation or hormonal therapies. We'll also discuss complementary therapies and nutritional strategies which may be useful to counter symptoms associated with cancer, treatment or survival beyond therapy.
Donald Abrams, MD, Professor of Clinical Medicine at UCSF and Chief of Hematology/Oncology at SFGH, is world-renowned in the field of integrative cancer care.
